CARESSED BY THE WORLD

In the early stages of life, the embryonic membrane forms the boundary between the body and the outside world. Inside, it becomes a space where energy is transferred. Caressed by the World uses a model to simulate the embryonic membrane, offering people an opportunity to reconnect with the world amid complex contemporary relationships — allowing space to accept emotions and, potentially, to be healed. Meanwhile, I have conducted a series of sensory experiments to explore this connection: the series of Sensory Diaries describes an intimate moment where the words become drawings in space, representing the sounds, movements and sense of smell of the inhabitants in a shared domestic scene at a given moment in time; the History records and compares my trajectory in the digital world and the physical world through the lens of browser history.
