This performance art piece is an attempt to reflect on the grief that COVID-19 has brought to people around the world and to question the endurance of public memory. I collected and photographed news related to COVID-19, then extracted the toxic substance Sym-Diphenylcarbazide (C₁₃H₁₄N₄O) from this content and sealed it into an ice arrow. Through the extreme act of using this toxic ice arrow on the human body, I aim to ask whether certain forms of oppression preserve memory forever.
