ABOUT MY INTERNSHIP

In 2021, I undertook a six-month internship as a digital designer at Siemens within the ADV department, where we orchestrated intelligent connections between energy systems, buildings, and industry to enhance people's living and working experiences. Collaborating with our clients and partners, we crafted systems that intuitively catered to users' needs.

My internship centered on designing 3D models and videos with special effects to visualize data and technical concepts. This enhanced the comprehension of complex industrial processes among our B2B users. Simultaneously, I ensured that design outputs met the product vision, brand identity, and user needs, thereby aligning with our business objectives.

CHALLENGES & LEARNINGS

Continuous Learning Proficiency

Prior to my tenure at Siemens, my expertise did not encompass industrial and smart infrastructure construction. To deepen my understanding of this industry and enhance my design, I devoted myself to continuous learning, combining self-directed study with guidance from experts. This effort significantly boosted my proficiency in industrial system integration and smart infrastructure.

Communicating Technical Concepts

Visualizing complex data and technical concepts presented a communication challenge. Addressing this challenge sharpened my communication skills, teaching me to communicate with engineers and scientists, learn industrial knowledge from them, and master the art of translating intricate technical details into visually comprehensible designs for a broader audience.

User-Centric Design

Crafting products that intuitively catered to user needs required a deep understanding of diverse user requirements and preferences. The challenge prompted me to develop user-centric design skills, emphasizing the importance of empathy and adaptability in creating solutions that resonate with users.
