PROBLEM STATEMENT


After running multiple tests and participating in offline game festivals, we gathered user feedback through game community discussions, reviews, and face-to-face interviews.

I found that users with language difficulties struggled more in the early stages. These users have a hard time understanding the tutorial, and this problem compounds into greater problems when they get to the harder levels because they can't make sense of the analogy. In order to help more users enjoy the game, I decided to design a more accessible version.








RESEARCH FINDING


Users provided valuable feedback, expressing a desire for a version of the game in their native language and requesting additional sound and visual cues, the core demand behind it is that they want more effective indicator to help them understand the game.

SOLUTIONS


After analyzing the main pain points, I realized that in addition to choosing friendlier fonts, displaying audio and text at the same time, and translating into different languages, etc., I can also make full use of the characteristics of VR to create objects and situations close to reality through skeuomorphic design, allowing users to interact in familiar ways will go a long way toward understanding how VR works.

Therefore, I implemented the following iterations for the novice tutorial. The reason for choosing to redesign the tutorial is that I recognized novices are least familiar with VR gameplay in the early stages. So, I aim to provide a user-friendly and intuitive introduction to enhance the user's VR experience.
